About Art History's Contributing Editor, Stan Parchin, strolled New York City's Central Park in a loop around the Metropolitan Museum of Art, from Fifth Avenue and East 77th, to the Met's rooftop garden, to Fifth and East 84th - all the while shooting pictures of saffron-colored fabric. As a result, we can all (vicariously) experience a brief photographic walking tour of The Gates, a project brought to you by the artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude.
