Image Gallery: From the Winter 2006-07 Special Exhibitions Listings

From Shelley Esaak, About.com

Each quarter Stan Parchin compiles a list of significant museum and gallery shows worthy of reader attention, and the lineup entitled "Winter 2006-07 Special Exhibitions" is no exception. To further fan the flames of viewer excitement, here we have a sampler of art images taken from nine shows. Included are objects from ancient Egypt and the Cyclades, classical Greek and Roman cultures, Liao Dynasty China, medieval France and the birth of the Italian Renaissance. You'll also find touches of fantasy and frippery - because no winter's pleasant diversion would be complete without them. Enjoy!
