About the show:

Drawn from the remarkable collection of the Musée du Louvre, this exhibition examines aspects of Roman art through works from the first century B.C. through the early fourth century A.D. More than 180 objects, including mosaics, frescoes, terracotta statuettes, monumental sculptures, sarcophagi, reliefs, and glass and metal vessels were arranged thematically to highlight contrasts and underscore continuities in artistic manifestations of Roman public and private life.

To read a full review of the exhibition as seen at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, please see Roman Art from the Louvre by Gail S. Myhre.
