To whet your appetite for the feast of art historic special exhibitions on view during the Summer of 2006, here is a sampler of high-resolution art images taken from nine shows. Included are a portrait drawn by Michelangelo, an early Raphael and a statue of everyone's favorite Boy King, Tutankhamun. Together, these nine pictures represent a mere fraction of the thousands of paintings, drawings, engravings, statues and decorative objects from Art History that await you in museums world-wide. In order to help you keep track of when and where your favorite shows will be on view, Stan Parchin has assembled significant picks in the list entitled "Summer 2006 Special Exhibitions."
