Unique in the history of ancient art, this fine marble vase with two panther-shaped handles was probably carved in Rome and exported to Petra, an ancient city in modern-day Jordan. It's one of more than 170 exquisite antiquities in Petra: Lost City of Stone, a special exhibition that describes the art, architecture and culture of the site's inhabitants, the Nabataeans, from the First Century B.C. to the Sixth Century A.D.
