The age of Pharaoh Tutankhamun (r. 1332-1322 B.C.) was one of the most intriguing epochs in ancient Egyptian history. It was also dynamic and complex in terms of artistic styles. What follows is a selected bibliography of publications related to the art, history and culture of the boy-king's epoch. It spans immediately before, during and shortly after the Amarna Period of the "heretic" Pharaoh Akhenaten (r. 1353-1336 B.C.), including citations for the archaeology of Amarna and vintage photography of Tutankhamun's tomb and its contents.
