Definition:

(noun) - In art, a tirage is a legal document, most commonly associated with graphic editions. In fact, the word "tirage" is French for "a printing." This document provides the buyer with information on the year the print was pulled, size of the edition, technique used in printing and so on. It's a little like getting the title to an automobile, and crucial for insurance purposes.

Pronunciation: tear·ahzh
