Some People Call Me Maurice

I speak not of the pompatus of love but, rather, the Maurice profile that just published. My choice this week was between Sendak and de Vlaminck. Because the Fauves were kicky, Sendak (whom I idolize as an illustrator) is taking forever to properly write (emphasis: idolize), and I've already got an image gallery up for one of these gents, Maurice de Vlaminck it was. A multi-faceted human being, that one--but you will discover this for yourself.
