What an interesting image and subject!
Actually, this bust flatters the subject. He wasn’t known for his physical charms…but he was powerful enough without handsomeness.

I had guessed wrong, but was still very close. What a great article. I’d seen photos of this work from before the restoration, and hadn’t recognized it at all. What a huge difference!
