I love Klimt’s color choices…I do hope all the issues over this painting can be resolved.
Intriguing painting. Makes me think about all my half=finished projects I’m likely to leave behind when the light goes out of my body.

There’s something about the “unfinishedness” that makes it appealing to me. Her face stands out bold and clear, while the arms and hands are mere hints.
And how amazing is it that a viewer can recognize an artist immediately (without cheating and looking ahead, mind you) given only a slightly finished piece … that to me is the genius behind Klimt’s work.
I agree that the unfinished aspect of this work makes it even more interesting. Makes you think about “what could have been…”
