Wow! He packed all that into such a tiny size?! I have to admit, I never cared for his work — until I saw it in person. Reproductions just don’t hold a candle to the real thing!
(Hopper’s work, on the other hand, for me does better in reproductions. His paint is too thin over the canvas for me.)

Hmmm… These bathing beauties seem to move beyond the merely “rubenesque,” more into the realm of “burly” or “yikes, look at the forearms on that lady on the left”!
It’s interesting that you can already see the classic straight-down facial profile that Picasso used all the time in his cubist portraits.
