Say, this must be some popular crossword puzzle! My inbox is bursting at the seams today with one particular question.

"In paintings, small chubby naked boys also called putti (8 letters)"

The word you all want is amoretti. (Had you needed seven letters, you would have used "amorini.") I'll update the glossary entry for "putti" to reflect this, just in case this fiendish clue ever pops up again.
