Melissa Snell, About Guide to Medieval and Renaissance History, is putting together an image gallery of illuminated manuscripts that I just had to point you all towards. First, because these are such a huge part of Art History; practically the only Western art we had for centuries! Secondly, because I have such a soft spot for All Things Irish, and crave seeing the 340 folios with my own visiting-Dublin eyes (someday, knock wood).
