2005 Top 10 Art Fairs and Festivals

Wednesday November 2, 2005
An unspecified number of subscribers to AmericanStyle Magazine have voted for their favorite U.S. art fairs and festivals in 2005, and the hot off the hard drive article results are:
    1. Scottsdale Arts Festival
    2. Paradise City Arts Festivals
    3. Festival of Arts/Pageant of the Masters
    4. Bayou City Art Festival
    5. Sawdust Art Festival
    6. Santa Fe Indian Market
    7. Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show
    8. ACC Craft Fair
    9. Ann Arbor Street Art Fair, the Original
    10. SOFA (International Expositions of Sculpture Objects & Functional Art)
As an artist, art lover, fair-goer and former Ann Arborite and U of M School of Art and Design undergrad student, I feel compelled to raise a dubious eyebrow over Number 9. Anyone who has ever spent time at the A-Squared Street Art Fair can tell you it's the best art fair on this or any other planet. So I'm just going to assume that the undisclosed survey numbers reflect a lack of familiarity with said fair on the parts of all respondents who did not choose it as the top pick.
