Blue Dog Floats for Katrina Victims

Sunday September 18, 2005
George Rodrigue, well-known, highly collectible artist and creator of the Blue Dog series has had to temporarily relocate his studio, employees, family and self to Lafayette, Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina displaced all of the above from his New Orleans digs. Despite the inconvenience, and not inconsiderable personal grief for his home, home town and fellow residents, Rodrigue has painted a special edition silk screen of Blue Dog entitled We Will Rise Again. All proceeds from the one-year edition - each print of which will be signed by the artist - are earmarked for the Southeast Louisiana Chapter of the American Red Cross. Collectors, this is a wonderful opportunity to get a Rodrigue at a great price - and do good at the same time.
