Artists You Should Know: Marc Chagall

Sunday March 27, 2005
In response to last week's request, Lesley Anne Mills has written from England and sent a list of her recommendations for "Artists You Should Know." Marc Chagall has been here selected (singled out?), because I and the Village is a personal favorite. It might be the happy lamb's head, or maybe I've just grown as attached to our farm as Chagall was to his Russian village. Either way, this work never fails to cheer and soothe, like a sweet dream sans the nap. (By the way, please look but don't "touch" the image. The copyright and international conventions message isn't a joke or a challenge.) Thanks very much for writing, Lesley.
