Speical Exhibition Review: Diane Arbus Revelations
Thursday March 24, 2005
Stan Parchin, Contributing Editor for Museum/Special Exhibitions, spent some time at The New York Metropolitan Museum of Art's version of the traveling Diane Arbus Revelations exhibition. He's written another of his entertaining, information-packed reviews for us, and deftly explains why this show has been such a hit at previous venues. Stan never fails to teach me something new each time he reviews an exhibition, and I am deeply grateful for his words.
Unfortunately, there are no press images to accompany this review - hard as we tried. Between us, Stan and I managed to track down a handful of links instead, and were glad to find them. The Arbus Estate is somewhat legendary for its unwillingness to release anything outside of certain venues. (Though sorely tempted to throw in a little hissy fit about admission tickets and/or $65 "authorized" books vs. public viewing, education and probable appreciation, I am not going to type another word.)
