Bravo, Jonathan Jones!

You know, I worried that I'd, perhaps, gone a Bit Too Far with my recent cri de coeur rant, point being that Art's got a lot of nerve expecting normal humans (like me) to care about/fund it, when it goes out of its way to use such incomprehensible, intimidating language. So I was happy (and somewhat relieved) to see a concurring opinion. Jonathan Jones' review of the newly published Art Since 1900 had me laughing out loud, despite the seriousness of the underlying issue. My favorite passage:
- "... this book is the final ludicrous monument to an intellectual corruption that has filled contemporary museums and the culture they sustain with a hollow and boring, impersonal chatter. Art has been lost in a labyrinth of theory. If this sounds anti-intellectual, let me clarify. There is no good work of art that cannot be described in intelligible English, however long it might take, however much patience is required. ..."
