Artists You Should Know: John Kraft

Wednesday October 6, 2004
kraft_lombard.jpgOne evening, while wading through a massive backlog arts-related email, a press release about a San Francisco Bay Area artist leapt off the screen. "What sort of crazy person," I wondered, "would stand in heavy commuter traffic and hand out artwork?" So I looked up John Kraft, and then promptly tracked him down because I like his work. (Especially I Think I Can - love this, and have lived by the wisdom of The Little Engine That Could for many a decade.) Basically, I more or less begged John (without, we pray, excessive groveling) to allow me to feature him here so you all could see his acrylics. They're edgy, colorful fun. John, it was most gracious of you to let me have my way. Wishing you every happiness in your upcoming nuptials, and every success with your painting. And, as a mother, please let me add: Watch out for that traffic!
