$5 Garage Sale Painting Worth More

Tuesday April 6, 2004
Considerably more, in fact. A Los Angeles-area actor (interviewed using a pseudonym) purchased a painting for $5 (US) a few years ago, at a garage sale. Lo and behold - the painting was an original Joseph Decker, according to the article in Art News Online, and worth something "more than $1 million." (Holy shades of Antiques Roadshow, Batman!). You just never know what you might pick up for pennies (or fractions thereof) on the dollar, do you?
