Remember David Byrne of Talking Heads? (If you don't, it's your loss.) He's been having fun and being creative with one of Bill Gates' brain-children, MS PowerPoint. Wired.com recently interviewed Byrne about his new performance art pieces featuring the (in their words) "ubiquitous presentation software". There is music involved, naturally, but it sounds like it's there for atmosphere only. The stars of the show are naughty (as in: disobedient) flow charts, bad clip art and bullet points on speed, looping crazily in the type of conference that you just might stay awake through. Of course, David Byrne always struck me as the kind of guy who could make an Event out of mowing the lawn, if he put his mind to it. Same as it ever was...
