Art History 101: The High Renaissance

Sunday December 14, 2003
creation-blog.jpgCan you believe it? Florence was nearly completely out of the picture during this, the most grand and memorable phase of "The Renaissance". There was a semi-mad monk involved, naturally, followed by a whole slew of ambitious Popes. Quite a lot went on, considering that the High Renaissance occupied such a short period of time. The whole second page of this new article is devoted to comparing and contrasting the Big Three Names. While it proved irresistable to write about each, in turn, as a hypothetical dinner guest, I did refrain from asking why the fourth Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle had been plucked from another part of the Renaissance, entirely. My good, I think.
