Leonardo da Vinci's The Last Supper

Friday November 14, 2003
lastsupp_blog.jpg Week after week, "Leonardo Last Supper", "da Vinci Last Supper", "Last Supper" - and many other variations thereof - make appearances in About Art History's search string results. Now, Your Guide was born at night (or so I've been informed), but it surely wasn't last night...so, submitted for your enjoyment is this new article all about Leonardo's version of The Last Supper. I plucked ten questions out of the search strings you've tried for this Very Famous Fresco, and supplied my take on things. Hopefully, you'll be both entertained and informed, whilst trying to resolve nagging mysteries, such as why Jesus has no feet.

Today in Art History:
Claude Monet (French Impressionist painter), born in 1840
