Art History 101: Paleolithic Art

In the first installment of what is proving to be a massive undertaking, this article explores what was happening (art-wise) in the Late Upper Paleolithic period. Those wacky Homo sapiens sapiens and their food fixation figure prominently. It also seems that these people liked their women healthy. Wide, child-bearing hips and sagging anatomy was en vogue - a look which, alas, has somehow ceased being fashionable in the ensuing millenia.
